John has been involved in the Automotive Industry for over 30 years, and is passionate about the ' Industry' but mostly the people who work in it. Life in the Automotive Industry started ​in the UK, with Lancia and then Fiat, and then moved back to NZ where John worked with many brands including VW, Audi, Porsche, Hyundai, Saab, Scania, Iveco and Subaru.

He acquired NZ's largest Mitsubishi dealership in the late 80's, and then went on to run Subaru in NZ. Moving to Australia in the mid 90's, a long spell back in retail mainly with Ford was followed by John starting STW Automotive, a joint venture Advertising Agency with STW Group.

Moving away from STW, this became AdTorque Strategic Services and has become a significant partner for the Automotive Industry for over 12 years.

During this period John launched the Global Finance Renewal Platform Chrysalis to the Australasian Market, and John is at the forefront of Retention in the Automotive Finance space in Asia/Pacific, working with Global Automotive Brands, Finance Companies and Banks​.

Gavin Cox

General Manager - Sales & Client Services

For over 15 years, Gavin has been working with the automotive industry, assisting dealers in getting the most out of their digital advertising.

His early professional life saw him in a variety of roles at Carsales Ltd working as a Dealer Performance Manager, State Manager and within the MediaMotive team.  During these years he built firm relationships with car dealers throughout the country, gaining good understanding of how their businesses worked, and developing a passion for delivering digital marketing solutions that could best help them succeed in the market.

In 2010 Gavin branched out on his own, launching Edge Online Consulting. The business, which started as merely two staff grew to become a national company, with staff in most states delivering unique digital solutions to car dealerships.

From its inception, Edge grew to become one of the country’s top digital marketing agencies servicing the automotive industry. It delivered dynamic, tailored websites to over 400 dealerships and was at the forefront of a number of significant industry changes within the digital marketing space.
